Yes — a week is the sweet spot for covering Cairo (Pyramids, Egyptian Museum) plus Luxor and Aswan with a Nile cruise, without feeling rushed. Domestic flights between cities save travel time so you spend it sightseeing instead. If you want to add Abu Simbel, Alexandria, or a Red Sea stay too, the 8-day options build that in without cutting corners elsewhere.

The extra day usually goes toward one added destination — Abu Simbel, Alexandria, a Red Sea resort day, or an extra cruise night. The core Cairo + Luxor + Aswan foundation is the same across both lengths; the 8-day packages just have more breathing room to add a highlight without a rushed itinerary.

Two of our 7-day packages already include Abu Simbel as a guaranteed stop. If you pick a 7-day itinerary that doesn't include it, we can usually add it as a full-day excursion from Aswan for an extra cost — just mention it in the form below and we'll quote it alongside your package.

Most are, but not all. The Cairo, Luxor & Alexandria budget tour and the Cairo, Luxor, Aswan & Abu Simbel land tour move between cities by private car and domestic flight rather than cruise ship — a good option if you prefer more time in each city over the slower pace of a cruise. The remaining packages all include 3-4 nights aboard a Nile cruise or Dahabiya.

Most days involve 2-4 hours of guided walking across temple sites and museums, with private air-conditioned transfers between stops and free time built into most afternoons or evenings. Pace is moderate and fully adjustable — tell your guide if you'd like to slow down, skip a stop, or add rest time, since every tour is private to your group.
