Itinerary

A Tripidays guide collects you from your Aswan hotel to begin this Luxor Day Tour from Aswan, then walks you to the station for the train ride north. If you'd rather stay closer to Aswan, our Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples tour covers two temples on a shorter trip.
Valley of the Kings
Your guide leads you into the Valley of the Kings, the New Kingdom burial ground cut into the West Bank cliffs, where 63 known tombs include that of Tutankhamun. Inside, wall carvings and painted texts trace each pharaoh's route through the afterlife.
Temple of Hatshepsut
From here, your driver continues to the Temple of Hatshepsut, built into the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari for one of Egypt's few female pharaohs. You climb through colonnaded terraces lined with reliefs recording her reign and trading expeditions.
Colossi of Memnon
Two seated stone figures, each roughly 18 meters tall, mark the next stop at the Colossi of Memnon. These statues of Amenhotep III have stood at the edge of his vanished mortuary temple for over 3,400 years.
