A standard Nile cruise is a motor-powered ship typically carrying 50–150 passengers, with en-suite cabins, pool, dining room, and onboard entertainment. A Dahabiya is a traditional, wind-powered sailing vessel with a much smaller number of cabins (usually 4–8), offering a boutique, intimate experience closer to the pace of 19th-century Nile travel. The Dahabiya stops at sites and bankside villages that motor cruise ships bypass. It is significantly quieter and more exclusive but at a higher per-person cost.

All Tripidays tours are fully private — your group only. You have your own Egyptologist guide, private vehicle, and private Nile cruise cabin(s). You never share your guide or itinerary with another group. The cruise ship itself may carry other passengers, but your guide, excursions, and daily schedule are exclusively for your party.

October through March is the most comfortable period — temperatures across Cairo and Upper Egypt range from 15–28°C (60–82°F), making full-day sightseeing easy. October and November in particular offer cooler weather, smaller crowds, and better availability before the peak Christmas season. July and August are possible but very hot in Luxor and Aswan, often exceeding 40°C. The Nile cruise itself is comfortable year-round since most time is spent on deck or in air-conditioned interiors.
