The 4-day tour is our fastest, most affordable option — Cairo and Luxor only, connected by overnight sleeper train, ideal for travelers short on time. The 8-day overland trip covers four cities (Cairo, Aswan, Abu Simbel, and Luxor) entirely by land and domestic flight, with no Nile cruise component, so you see significantly more of Egypt at a similarly low per-day cost. If you want maximum sightseeing on a budget, the 8-day is the better value; if you want a quick, affordable introduction to Egypt, choose the 4-day.

On our 8 Day Cairo, Aswan & Abu Simbel Overland Trip, Abu Simbel is a guaranteed included day on every departure, not an optional upgrade. On the other budget packages that don't list Abu Simbel in the itinerary, it can usually be added as an optional excursion — just mention it when requesting your quote and we'll confirm pricing and logistics.

October through April offers the most comfortable sightseeing temperatures across Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Alexandria (roughly 18–28°C). Summer months (June–August) are hotter, especially in Upper Egypt, but hotel and tour prices often drop, which can mean an even better deal if you don't mind the heat and plan your sightseeing for early mornings. Peak season (December–February) books up fastest, so we recommend requesting your quote a few weeks ahead for those dates.
