3 nights (the 4-day cruise) covers the essentials between Aswan and Luxor — Philae Temple, Kom Ombo, Edfu, the Valley of the Kings, and Karnak. 4 nights adds either Abu Simbel or a Cairo departure with flights. The 7-night round trip from Luxor is the most relaxed pace and includes Abu Simbel without rushing. If this is your first time in Egypt and you have the days, the 7-night option gives the fullest experience; if you're short on time, the 4-day Aswan to Luxor cruise is the best value at $460 per person.

If you're already in Upper Egypt (or flying into Aswan or Luxor directly), you skip the domestic flight and pay the lowest rate — the 4-day Aswan to Luxor cruise starts at $460pp. If you're based in Cairo, the Cairo-departure cruises include round-trip domestic flights to Aswan or Luxor as part of the package, which is reflected in the higher starting price. Both options board the same 5-star cruise ships and follow the same core itinerary.

Abu Simbel is a full guided day trip and is built into the 5 Day Luxor cruise and the 7 Night round trip. The 4-day cruises (Aswan to Luxor and the short Cairo cruise) focus on the core Luxor–Aswan temples and do not include Abu Simbel by default, though it can be added as an optional excursion on request.

All Tripidays cruises are fully private — your group only. You have your own Egyptologist guide, private vehicle for transfers, and your own cabin(s) aboard the ship. You never share your guide or itinerary with another group. The cruise ship itself may carry other passengers, but all excursions and daily touring are exclusively for your party.

October through April is the most comfortable period, with daytime temperatures between 60–82°F (15–28°C), ideal for full days of sightseeing at Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, and the other open-air sites. Cruises run year-round; May through September is hotter (often exceeding 100°F/40°C in Luxor and Aswan) but comes with lower rates and smaller crowds. Most of each day is spent on deck or in air-conditioned areas, so the cruise itself is comfortable in any season.
