This 5 day Cairo and Hurghada tour package combines 2 nights of guided sightseeing in Cairo, the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, the Valley Temple of Khafre, and the Grand Egyptian Museum with 3 nights at a Hurghada Red Sea all-inclusive resort. Egypt's top-selling 5-day pyramids and beach package, it covers both cities with domestic flights between them included. It’s also a popular choice among travelers browsing Egypt Vacation Packages for a short yet unforgettable escape.
The tour opens in Cairo on Day 1 with a Nile dinner cruise featuring live music and tanoura dancers. Day 2 covers the full Giza complex, the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, the Valley Temple of Khafre, followed by the Grand Egyptian Museum, then an evening flight to Hurghada. Day 3 is a full beach day at the Red Sea with optional snorkeling on Hurghada's coral reefs. Day 4 adds a desert safari by quad bike across the Eastern Desert and a Bedouin tent lunch before the return flight to Cairo. Day 5 is the departure.
Only on this route
Most Cairo and Hurghada packages split the beach days evenly, leaving only a half day at the Giza plateau. This tour dedicates a full guided day to the Giza complex and the Grand Egyptian Museum before the evening flight to Hurghada, then holds 3 uninterrupted nights on the Red Sea.

Arc I · Cairo to Giza
Nile dinner cruise then a full day across the Giza plateau

Your Tripidays guide meets you at Cairo Airport and transfers you directly to your Cairo hotel. One thing is on the agenda tonight.

Your first evening in Egypt is spent on the Nile, watching Cairo's lit skyline drift past as tanoura dancers spin across the deck and a live band fills the open air. The boat carries you past the illuminated bridges of central Cairo, a city of 22 million that somehow feels quieter from the water.

Dinner

Your guide collects you after breakfast for the most historically dense day of this 5-day Cairo and Hurghada tour package. By evening, you will be on a flight to the Red Sea.

Travel to the legendary Giza Plateau and stand before the awe-inspiring Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the crown jewel of any Cairo and Red Sea tour.

Meet the mysterious Great Sphinx, silently guarding the pyramids for thousands of years, a moment that truly defines your 5 day in Cairo & Hurghada package.

Enter the Valley Temple immediately beside the Sphinx, one of the best-preserved Old Kingdom structures in Egypt, assembled from granite blocks each weighing up to 100 tonnes and hauled from Aswan. Your guide walks you through the ritual function of the space: this is where the royal body arrived by boat before burial.

The Grand Egyptian Museum holds more than 100,000 artefacts across 100 galleries; your visit moves through the full Tutankhamun collection, 5,000 objects displayed together for the first time, including the gold burial mask, the gilded wooden shrines, and the royal chariots. Set aside at least two hours, and your guide will tell you which rooms to prioritise. Travellers looking for a deeper archaeological experience rather than Red Sea relaxation often choose our Cairo and Luxor culture tour instead of the beach, which continues south to Egypt's greatest temple complexes and royal tombs instead of flying to Hurghada.

Breakfast, Lunch
Arc II · Hurghada Shoreline
Three nights between the beach and the Eastern Desert

You wake up to the Red Sea. Today has no historical agenda; it is built entirely around the water. During the festive season, many travelers choose our Christmas Egypt beach and culture tour, which combines Cairo's ancient monuments with Red Sea relaxation during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Hurghada's beaches sit on the western shore of the Red Sea, where the water temperature stays above 24°C year-round and visibility runs to 30 metres on calm days. You have the full day to swim, sunbathe, or do nothing at all. The resort handles the rest.

Your guide can arrange a snorkeling boat to the offshore reefs, where the coral formations begin within metres of the surface. The Red Sea hosts over 1,200 species of fish, around 10% of which are found nowhere else on earth. Your guide will point out the key species before you enter the water.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Your final morning in Hurghada is yours. After your morning, whether active or restful, your guide transfers you to Hurghada Airport for the afternoon flight to Cairo. You overnight in Cairo.

If you want one more activity before the flight, your guide can arrange a quad bike safari across the gravel plains of Egypt's Eastern Desert, the terrain that separates the Nile Valley from the Red Sea coast. The route takes you away from the coast road into the open desert, where the scale of the landscape becomes the experience. If you enjoy Egypt's desert landscapes, consider adding an oasis day trip from Cairo on a future visit to explore traditional villages, freshwater springs, and dramatic desert scenery beyond the Red Sea coast.

Breakfast, Lunch

Breakfast at your Cairo hotel, then your guide transfers you to Cairo International Airport for your onward flight.
